Do you know what it takes to create an amazing company culture? Joining us on YAP this week is Claude Silver, the world’s first chief heart officer at VaynerMedia, Gary Vaynerchuck’s digital media agency.

Many of us will work several different jobs throughout our lives, experiencing both positive and negative work environments. But what makes one job better than another? A company’s culture and its leaders play a key role in fostering an environment where employees feel safe, motivated and inspired to be the best version of themselves. In addition to creating a positive culture, successful companies need leaders that are able to guide others towards improvement and growth within the company.

As Claude Silver states during the interview: “My job is to be real with people, iIt’s really to help people through their roadblocks, identifying things about themselves that they want to get clearer on teaching self-awareness and in turn that then creates a stronger human being and a stronger human being is going to help this company be more successful.”

Learning how to teach train and inspire others can help many of us become better leaders within the workplace and beyond. In this episode, Hala Taha and our guest Claude Silver discuss the impact that a positive culture has on a company’s success and share tips on how aspiring leaders can mentor others to better themselves.

I want to get to a place where we’re not even using the word diversity. It’s just the way it is, which is that we live in a macrocosm where there are all different types of people. Diversity for me in creating a culture of belonging is the obvious diversity that we’re talking about in terms of race, creed, ethnicity, so forth and so on.
